Can I download the map data?
Yes. The archive contains china.geojson, linked on the data page.
Is a Shapefile (SHP) included?
No. The current website package does not include SHP components. You can inspect the GeoJSON and export another format using GIS software.
Are these official or certified administrative boundaries?
No official certification, original acquisition record, license or currency documentation is included in the supplied site archive. Check authoritative sources before official or regulated use.
Why do coordinates look shifted?
Different Chinese map services may use GCJ-02-based coordinates, whereas GeoJSON is normally exchanged in WGS 84. See the coordinate systems guide.
Can I use this dataset commercially?
The provided archive does not establish licensing or redistribution rights. Confirm origin and permissions independently before commercial use.
Can I download province-level data separately?
Not through a dedicated provincial download endpoint on this site. Our province reference lists region names, not individual boundary files.
Can I save a map image?
The interactive map has an existing snapshot button. Depending on browser security and third-party tile CORS policies, screenshots may fail or omit tiles.
